Erasmus+ Experience: Stress Relief and Well-being Strategies for Teacher, Prague

During the Erasmus+ training, the focus was placed on stress management and improving teachers’ well-being. In a demanding educational environment, maintaining emotional balance is essential for both teachers and students.

The training introduced practical strategies such as emotional awareness, breathing techniques, and mindfulness practices like body scan meditation. Participants also explored Qi Gong, bioenergetic exercises, and vagus nerve activation techniques, all aimed at reducing stress and restoring inner balance.

In addition, yoga sessions helped release physical tension, while discussions on sleep highlighted the importance of healthy rest habits for overall well-being.

The theoretical part was enriched by insights from positive psychology, particularly the work of Martin Seligman, emphasizing well-being, resilience, and positive emotions. The concept of the “Healthy Mind Platter” was also presented as a useful model for balancing daily activities to support mental health.

This experience emphasized that taking care of teachers’ mental and physical health is a key factor in creating a positive and effective learning environment.

The quality of the training was strongly supported by highly competent instructors. Bara Rodi proved to be an excellent specialist, providing clear and well-structured insights into stress management and well-being strategies, with particular emphasis on the importance of quality sleep and body scan meditation practices for restoring mental and physical balance. Meanwhile, Lucie Prišovska led engaging and highly practical sessions focused on breathing techniques, voice control and management, as well as physical release exercises. Her workshops were particularly valuable, as they offered hands-on methods that can be easily applied in everyday teaching practice.
